One Million Livelihoods – Join Us in Building 1 Million Sustainable Livelihoods in Vietnam
Climate change and environmental challenges are having severe impacts on the lives and livelihoods of millions of people in Vietnam, particularly in the Mekong Delta, Northern Highlands, and Central regions. In response to this situation, One Million Livelihoods (1ML) was founded with the mission of supporting 1 million sustainable livelihoods, fostering community resilience, restoring ecosystems, and promoting sustainable development.
1ML’s Mission
One Million Livelihoods is more than an initiative—it’s a journey to create lasting value for both people and the environment. Our work is centered around three key pillars:
Climate Change
Adaptation
Supporting communities in adopting sustainable production models, such as rice-shrimp farming, organic agriculture, mangrove reforestation, and eco-friendly aquaculture

Restoration
Restoring mangrove forests, conserving biodiversity, and improving water resources to enhance communities’ resilience against natural disasters.
Creating Sustainable Livelihoods
Building clean, transparent agricultural value chains that connect directly with markets, ensuring stable, high-value outputs for local producers.
